These magnificent oversized prints are from a limited edition reprint of James Bateman's Orchidaceae of Mexico and Guatemala, first published in 1837. This extraordinary work on orchids was one of the largest botanical books ever published, and is extremely rare due to the fact that only 125 copies were produced. The prints shown here are from a very scarce high-end reprint produced in 1975 and limited to only 1,000 copies.
