This is a beautifully framed original antique print of Red Leathery Seaweed [fucus edulis], published in 1804 by James Sowerby, with original hand-coloring. The print is framed in a handmade American walnut frame with hand-joined corners, archival matting, mounting and ultra-clear UV-protective conservation glass. (scroll down for more photos)
The print comes from the first edition of James Sowerby's famous work, English Botany, or Coloured Figures of British Plants, and features authentic original hand-coloring.
